So I was out poking around over the fence from one of the paddocks on our block of land, and amongst a very quiet stand of old totara trees was…pupurangi! No, pupurangi isn’t something you step on and go “ew”. Well, if you stepped on one, you would, but Don’t Step On Them!
Giant Kauri Snails are huge land snails that live in old forests in Northland, where I live in New Zealand. Some species are threatened or endangered, so they’re especially special.
I created this sticker to celebrate these beautiful creatures, who take life in the slow lane and get by just fine without the dramas of the hustle. Take a breath. Go low, go slow. Slap one on your car, your bike helmet, or your notebook.
Just like everything else I sell, when you buy one of these stickers, you’re helping me make art products, AND you’re helping me and my partner trap pigs/possums, plant native trees on our 38-acre block of land. We’re doing our best to help these snails and other flora/fauna have a better chance of making it. Thank you!
